Brief explanation:

The University of Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program is designed to recognize international students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and creativity and who are regarded as trailblazers within their school. The impact the student has had on their school and network as well as their potential to make a significant future contribution to the global network are both given great emphasis.

Scholarship worth, components, and length:

For four years, the scholarship will pay for all living expenses in addition to tuition, books, and other other costs.

Eligibility:

To qualify for the Pearson International Scholarship, you must be one of the following:

 

• a non-Canadian foreign student who needs a study permit;

• presently enrolled in your last year of secondary school, or you must have graduated no earlier than June 2020.

Consider commencing your academic career in September 2021 at the University of Toronto (students already attending post-secondary studies cannot be considered; students starting their studies in January 2021 at another post-secondary institution cannot be considered)

Application guidelines:

You must be nominated by your school and apply to the University of Toronto for undergraduate study in order to be considered a Pearson Scholar. In order to apply, you must:

• Get your school to nominate you. (High schools that haven’t been contacted or validated yet are urged to fill out the nomination rights application accessible here.)
• Submit your application for admission by the required dates if you want to start your studies at the University of Toronto in 2021.
• You can submit your Lester B. Pearson Scholarship application online after the University has received your nomination and you have applied to the school.

The deadline for submitting school assignments is 30 November 2020. The deadline for student confirmations is 14 December 2020 (you must apply before 7 November 2020). The deadline for scholarship applications is 18 January 2021.
